Good router with advanced features
Everything works as advertised with good performance. Has not been restarted in weeks. The NetGear Geni+ software is very flakey and isn't very useful.

Netgear Router
I bought this thinking that I would get faster service, but when I installed it everything slowed down. My computer internet speed and all my devices...i.e Ipad, Ipod...everything. I ended up switching it out for my old one because I got faster connections and downloads.

Very pleased with Netgear!
I decided to upgrade from an older Netgear WGR614 router which I've had for 4 years and is still working perfectly. I've had this router for a month now and I haven't missed a beat. I get better reception, much faster throughput, and no lost connections. I was worried about overheating because of what I've read about this unit, but I have not had any problem with that. The main reason I chose this router was the ease of adding open source firmware. I've tried both DD-WRT and Tomato (preferring Tomato right now). The best benefit is to turn down the transmit power to save on wear and tear. Just try to keep in mind that each devices you use will have a different transmit range, and link speed will degrade dramatically with distance. It may save some frustration to others. I would recommend this router to others.

Easy Setup and Performs Well
I purchased this for an employee working in an offsite mobile office and had to set it up at my office. I was able to connect it to my laptop with the ethernet cable, set up the router, and wirelessly connect his laptop all at my office. He then took it to the mobile office, plugged it in and he was ready to go!

It Works
This is my second router, replacing an old combination DSL router. After getting the ISP addresses figured out it has worked great. I was trying to use my print spooler to work with it and finally did work. The wiresless reaches with great signal strength across 100 ft house thru 4 walls. The USB port works with memory devices only and is of limited value. File transfer was slow and not reliable, even with direct Ethernet connection. Single file transfers worked but could not transfer more than 5 files without errors. I finally gave up on it and just put shared directories on each pc, a much better solution.

Great high-speed inexpensive router
I have been using Netgear routers for ever. The interface remains the same so setup is a breeze. Handles blazing fast gigabit data transfer while serving up video from the Home Server to another PC via wireless.

Fast but weak wifi Signal
I bought 3 of these based on the reviews here. But in fact the WiFi signal from this router is quite weak and the receiver is of average sensitivity. All three of the ones I bought are this way. I think the internal antennas limit the range. When you do have 4 or 5 bars though, the speed is really fast.
