Best Upgrade Ever

I purchased this 128gb SSD with a new K55A ASUS (9-03-12 the transfer it is nice even though my Hard Drive would not clone and after calling Crucial and ASUS none of there tech pepole could figure out what was going on I worked with them in real time with drive connected and software installed, the transfer could not be made do to the fact that the program would only see the entire drive 500gb and that is not going to fit on a 128gb drive. The drive only had 48 GB of data however the software no matter what we did would see only that data so I had to order restore disks from ASUS and do a clean install that went very fast and the laptop is now lightning fast no joke dont blink or you will miss something.

Great upgrade

Very easy to transfer data with kit. Made a huge improvement to the speed of my son's Samsung netbook. Boot up, wake-up, time to load a program, and the function of the programs are all vastly improved.

The transfer kit is worth it

I chose this one because it came with the usb to sata cable and software that made migration to the new drive easy. Not the cheapest around, but good performance and super simple setup.

Best upgrade ever!

Got this mean little box in the mail today and went to work installing it right away. The data transfer kit made it simple and quick. Everything about my d270 netbook is faster and the extra battery life is a cool bonus.

Totally SeamlessTransfer. Big Performance Boost

Laptop had a failing HDD that would not repair, along with a large number of engineering applications that would have been very cumbersome to reinstall. Transfer worked with no issues and performance is amazing. Boot is under 15 seconds.

3X FASTER & easy to clone

I was pleasantly surprised with the included link cable. No need to re-install Windows or back up all your stuff. The included cable and software make upgrading a breeze. After cloning my old drive, I timed the startup process and compared it to the new M4 drive once it was installed. My time went from 36 seconds to 12 seconds! Besides startup times, my computer has a generally quicker response now and I expect better battery life. Great upgrade for any computer. My old drive will now serve as a media storage drive, as I have two drive bays on my laptop. If you only have one drive bay and have a lot of music or pictures, you hay want to get a larger drive, although I still show 85gb free. Note: never attempt to defragment a solid state drive.

Price a little high,installation simple, difficulty with instructions on cloning and booting afterwards. Performance is good, after approx 1 month no problems.

Great Upgrade Over Standard HDD

The transfer kit made the transition from my old HDD to the Crucial SSD extremely easy. The performance boost was extraordinary and immediately felt as my start up time went from 1:50 to :27, that is from power off to Internet explorer up and running. Programs open without delay and multitasking speed is certainly improved. I will be buying the 256GB Crucial for my new laptop and I cant wait to see the transfer speeds with USB 3.0!

I bought 2 of these , one with the data transfer kit. It was ez to change and with the date kit i can use the old ssd as a portable HD would definitely buy again

Great product, good value

I bought this for my aging Dell 1520 laptop, as the drive was the only thing keeping it slow. It took about 30 minutes for the simple to use transfer kit to copy my 80GB HDD to the new 128GB SSD, and then about 5 minutes to install the SSD. This is the way computers should have always worked! Boot up went from 3-4 minutes to less than 20 seconds. The laptop runs silently, and slightly cooler (still gets warm though). Performance and reliability have been great in the month I have had it. I saved the transfer cable and bought another identical SSD to replace my primary OS drive in my desktop machine. Same process, same improvement. Once these come down another $40 they should be in every PC everywhere. Love it!
