I was not impressed at all with this card's performance. I bought this card only because I needed a cheep pci-express card to fill the slot on my new motherboard. With this card I got only a slightly better performance than my old ati AGP card. I cannot run FEAR, or Oblivion smoothly unless I have all the video settings set to minimum. I should have spent an extra 10 dollars and got the Geforce 8600 card! I feel like crap now that I realize that I missed out on that deal, and will probably return this card soon to get the 8600.

I bought this card knowing full well I could not expect to play new games at max resolution, you should know this. I dont mind 1024x768, and I dont game alot anyways. If you are a gamer, spend at least $150 and do your research first, wikipedia has excellent charts of fill rate/bandwidth/etc. When I bought this a year and a half ago, for what I needed, there was no other card of comparable value within a 30% price range. Looks like its still the case in the low end, just everything is $20 less now. It overclocks well, RivaTuner can apply the overclock only when you are gaming if you like, and so it slows back down when youre not running 3d apps. Works great, DVI and VGA, can do dual monitor I assume, cheap, no problem fitting the thing in the case like some massive 79xx 88xx series GeForce cards :) My particular model had a heatsink and no fan, but my case has good flow so this has no heat problems whatsoever overclocked 20%, but clearly you would get crashes beyond that

Now the cost for a card of this kind was nice. but the performance is horrible. As well did the quality, i hooked the thing up once, then took off my monitor cable and it fell apart.

I bought this care for simple gaming and it is awesome. I did however notice whenever I go to display properties it shows this care as a 512 MB video card not a 256 MB video card. I downloaded and used Belrac advisor and the same thing so no idea what is going on but for the price it is awesome!
