Great Machine
I have had this for about 3 years now and it has gone through many different opterating systems. It has had Ubuntu 10.04 and Windows 7, I also for a time had android 4.0 running on it and it has never had a problem. Now i have windows 8 installed and it is running faster than it ever has. I have only upgraded the HDD from 80gb to 320gb. I have left the ram because it has been fine with 2gbs. I would suggest very strongly that you get one if you are looking for a stable and dependable laptop.

It works
good value, etc. problem is the left button for the touchpad is beat up and barely works. aren't the refurbs tested before they go out the door? if my girlfriend didn't absolutely need right now for school it would be sent back.

Good value
I bought this for a friend and feel it was a good value. It originally came with XP and was wiped and windows 7 was loaded. It took a lot of updates to get it current but now it seems to be fine. I am satisfied with it.

Great for Grandma
My 89 year old Grandma needed a new computer that was affordable. This refurbished dell seemed to fit the bill, as it had Windows 7 so there is Microsoft support for updates, unlike this week's changes to XP. Pros:Nice smaller size, good condition, Windows 7, DVD CDRW drive, wifi Cons: no sd card reader port, short to average battery life. Overall content with quality for price.
