Not a bad deal with rebate!
I bought this LCD back in early September. I got it for $698.99 after a $100 rebate. The price was just too good to pass up. Shipping was fairly slow; almost two weeks, but the TV was packed extremely well and the guys delivering the TV were very polite. The LCD itself seems well built and the burgundy color is very attractive. The forward facing speakers do a decent job projecting the sound. The set has plenty of hookups and even comes with an HDMI cord. The energy saver feature on this set makes the picture too dark, so I would recommend not using it. The remote's buttons are very sensitive, especially when going through the set up process. Also, the blacks look more like dark grey than true black. My old Hitachi projection TV had better black definition. Nice set for the money, but don't expect Vizio or Samsung picture quality.

Great TV for the price
Love the Hannspree brand because of the quality; this is the 2nd Hannspree I've purchased and whether it was the 25inch or the 55 inch, the sound from the box has been wonderful, with good bass tones, you won't need a sound bar. The rebate on this is a gift card, not a check. The box design was genius - you only need remove the 4 plastic cleats around the bottom and lift the top off - very easy to do myself. When the trucking company called to schedule a delivery, it took me a day to get back to them; meanwhile customer service contacted me to see if there was a problem. I'm hoping their service is just as good, as my remote control was nonfunctioning, and I've made efforts toward resolution - we'll see how long it takes. Generally, I am pleased with both these guys and Hannspree. I can't speak to all the other functions - I just watch TV on it - I don't web surf or game.

Excellent for the price
I bought this tv a month ago. So far it is excellent. The red color is actually a very dark burgundy so the color is quite attractive.

A real winner
This TV has all the key features at a very reasonable price. The screen has a matt finish that reduces glare, and good electronics that eliminates blur. The stand is first rate and mounted for you- and it comes in a well built carton. The tv frame is also a nice dark red that looks very professional. the inputs are easy to find and use. Has the LCD type look not as bright as the LED, but that's not a killer....go for it...
