A good buy

Although the Harmony remotes have grown almost ridiculously overpriced over the past few years, this remote, being an OEM type product is being sold at a reasonable price. It is nice for those who have simple setups or five or less pieces of equipment to use. However, setting up the remote is not for the timid mainly because it make a lot of assumptions that wind up being more frustrating than helpful. Fist timers should play around with the software a bit before downloading to the remote or else risk doing it numerous times until you get it set up the way you want it.

Not for Low-Tech Users

I bought for my household and I was the only one that could operate remote. I reprogrammed the remote several ways but the family approval rating was NO.

Well worth it!

I purchased this item, it was an open box refurbished. Someone had put the batteries in backwards and bent the connector, the connector was still bent when I received the unit. I fixed it. Do not care! This makes life so easy.

Had Harmony One before, this is so much better

I really love this remote, glad I discovered it after the second Harmony One unit died. This remote was a breeze to set up. It is lightweight and the buttons are laid out well. Great product and good price equals good value and this remote is a good value.

Love this remote

Love this remote and very easy to program. since it's open box (not refurbished one, previous programming was already on the remote. No probelm reprograming). I had connection issue with the remote and I thought the remote was bad. It turned out the long USB cable that shipped with this unit was bad. I used my own microUSB cable and the unit was recognized by my laptop instantly. After that programing was easy and fast. Now, with just one button, it turns on my TV, AV Receiver, Bluray!!! Only problem is that if I want to control TV volume after I choose programmed activity, it changes AV Receivers volume (which is what it supposed to but sometimes you would like to have control on individual item). No issue when I select watch TV programing mode, but when multiple devices are assigned to certain function, I could not figure out how to control duplicated function on ohter device that what was programmed. Excellent remote. Value is excellent too.

Poorly Refurbished

My unit came with scratches on the back of the case, programming information still in the remote,a defective USB cable, and no manual; making it much more challenging to figure out why it was not charging and how to program the device. All this information is available on Logitech website with some digging.

DOA. Might have worked nice if it would connect

Looking for a replacement for an 880 that we had been very happy with - it croaked after several years of kids dropping it so I thought this would be a good lower cost fit for a replacement. They should do a better job checking things before they re-sell them. Now it is a high cost paper weight and I hope the return process works well.

Battery holder is awful

this device has 2 AA cells and the holder is so flimsy the unit resets all the time. I've tried to improve it, but it's difficult. If you buy this make sure to update to the latest firmware which makes the reset tolerable, it used to take 2 minutes to go through set-up screens before you could use it and it reset every time it fell even 1 foot off the floor.

Save up for the Harmony One

This remote feels cheap in your hands, and quite flimsy compared to my harmony one. The tabs for the battery slots are quite loose, and the batteries will jogg around a bit and reset the remote. If I were to buy another remote I would not buy this remote again, and save up for another harmony one.

Fantastic remote

Using for DVR, VCR, TV, and home audio system. Does not work with Xbox 360 out of box (says something about needing another receiver...I didn't bother with it too in-depth). Great device that has been working very well so far. Software to configure has a little bit of a learning curve but not a steep one...wasn't too hard to get things going. All in all a fantastic buy.
