Nice monitor, lousy speakers

Very good visually, BUT, you can't make the speakers loud, there are no controls for sound and the speakers stopped all together in 2 weeks. The tech support at AOC said to send it back. It would be okay if you wanted to use a pair of external speakers, but I don't.

Extremely disappointing buy

Build quality is horribly cheap all over .I'm afraid to touch even gently. eIPS panel have lowest contrast and no meter what u do there is 60% details lost in the shadows. It is all black and if you try to adjust contrast u will blind yourself with ''brightness'' adjustment. I'm semi-pro graphic designer and for 10 years I have had NEC H-IPS, Dell eIPS, Hitachi IPS, Samsung MVA & MVA-A panels. But I paid $$$$$$$$$. Plus viewing angle is not even close, compared to cheapest IPS Dell 2011 models. Light bleeding is very high.

Great monitor - Worthless speakers

The monitor is bright and crisp. Controls are good. My question is why even bothering putting 1 watt speakers in the base. Turned up to 100% they barely squeak. Tech support just says they are crap speakers

Only thing I dont like is the power button. The monitor is sleek, classy, and runs very smoothly.

Best monitor ever

This is the best monitor I have ever owned. The viewing angle is amazing. It looks crazy modern and people started complimenting it the minute I pulled it out of the box.

Excellent Monitor!

This is my first AOC product, had never even heard of them before. Glad I took a chance ... perfect screen size for me, lots of input choices, and very affordable for an IPS monitor. I agree with the other reviews, the base is flimsy ... only negative I could find. All in all, I highly recommend it. A+

Solid Choice

This was my first IPS monitor and second monitor from AOC and I am very pleased with my purchase. Colors are great, sharpness is excellent, and the monitor itself looks awesome. The only thing I don't like about it is the materials used for the base; cheap, flimsy plastic. But at this price point, I'm not complaining. If you're on the fence about this monitor, go for it, you won't be disappointed.

Price breakthrough

IPS monitors are a class above the generic TN displays that dominate the market. They provide accurate color and superior viewing angles. The AOC is an LED monitor, so very thin and cool running. The display controls are in the base and both the controls and OSD work well - a good solution. Picture quality is excellent and exceeded expectations. Not the best for photographic editing but ideal for most other uses, including gaming (Portal 2, Mass Effect 2 etc). Disadvantages are: the screen has only tilt control and cannot be rotated 90 degrees or adjusted vertically. The inputs are 2 HDMI so you may need a DVI to HDMI cable (not included in the box). The base contains controls and the power brick connector so wall mounting might be a problem. The front bezel is flimsy and as a result there are small gaps between the screen and the bezel. However, I rate this monitor very highly and will buy several more.
