Voice control is a great option!

works the same as my older Garmin, but with voice control, great I can keep my eyes on the road and change plans on the go!

Best GPS ever used

I have been using different GPS devices but this is the best. Extremely user friendly and easy to navigate. Highly recommended. Takes a little time to get synced and update the maps the first time you turn it on but its a breeze afterwards. The only negative I found was the responsiveness of the touch screen, when I compare it to my cell phones or the ipads' touch screen. But head to head comparison with any other GPS and this GPS would be far ahead.

Not as Good

This is my second Garmin. Now they charge for adding things like Red Light Camera locations ans speed traps and don't seem to give you a way to add your own POIs. Not easy to design your own route either. It insists on going the way it wants to, usually not the best way out on Long Island, where there are many different routes to take to a place. Price is much lower than before and the Blue Tooth did work. OK if you get lost, so it's not a complete loss for ways to go. Gets you there, if not always the best way. A bit hard to figure out, perhaps I'd complain less as I learn things better.

Fantastic Unit

I up graded from a nuvi 885T. Updated the maps was a breeze although it did take along time. Just set it up and went to bed. The bluetooth is great, and the audio is very crisp and clear. Great improvement over the 885. Have put in addresses from the internet and no problem. Gets me where I want to go. I would definitely recommend this product.

Working with some problems

First, while updating the unit (took four hours) it got stuck in demo mode and wouldn't connect to satellites. Finally got it working by pressing the lower right corner of screen while cycling the power. (Also driving with it in the car should also work.) Secondly, the voice activation doesn't work very well--not even going to use that feature. Speed has improved, searches and calculates routes much faster.

Already Had to Replace

We've always used Garmin for GPS. My husband loves this GPS, but the traffic ready didn't work. He contacted Garmin and after several e-mails back and forth it was determined that the item was defective and the GPS has been replaced by Garmin. We shall see how long this one lasts. Overall my husband really likes this Garmin!

Stuck in Alaska

Works great. Clear screen easy to read. Better and more user friendly than our old TomTom. Will tell friends and neighbors. Love the traffic and free map updates.

Overall good product

Overall product performance is very good the only problem is the base map. For rural Alberta found may holes that were not there is older products. More detail could be given to base made accuracy. Also out of the box too many updates were required for a new product, was it realeased too quick?

Great GPS

Works right out of the box, greatest invention since the fly swatter.

Great piece of equipment!

Bought to replace a very basic Tom Tom and avoid continually paying for map updates! Minor problem unlocking (?) device, although it should have come unlocked. Now it shows unlocked prior to shipping (?) However, now it works great, bluetooth link to mobile phone was easy. Would recommend to a friend.
