Keep that old TV going
Works perfectly with 3rd gen Apple TV. I combined this with an additional RF Modulator (from Monster) to connect the ATV to a 30 year old television... works like a CHAMPION. No heat concerns

You want one of these
This allows me to watch streaming content on my older crt tv while feeding the audio to the surround sound . Team that up with a vcr and you might not be high tech or high definition but the picture and sound are quite good. I've been using this for about two weeks and so far I couldn't be happier.

No Brainer: Plug it in, and it works!
I used this to create a broadcast from HDMI to RF for 15 TVs in a large building. This box was recognized by the HDMI port on a PC wih Windows7 as a SECOND monitor. Exactly what I needed. (I then used a S-video to RF converter to feed the TV network) Great quality signal AND construction. Great price!

Works tops with ATV3
Was a bit skeptical, opened box made connection and no other settings, can use ATV features on old TV and also mirror from IPad tru AirVideo App and its server.

It does the job !
Solid metal case, clean design. The converter sets itself once connected, easy ! The output image ratio is the same as the the input, no adjustment from within the converter. Image ratio needs to be tweaked from source at the input first, i.e. from the laptop from which the signal comes from, IF the computer screen has a different image ratio than the TV it connects to. Setting a second screen with the same image ratio as the TV, from within Windows NT, XP, Vista, and 7, is not a big deal. No complain.

Works With Apple TV Mirroring
Just as an FYI, it works fine with Apple TV mirroring. I'm still figuring out the screen settings, but it all seems good.
