Protection and additional uptime is always good
Bought this to provide extra juice for my alarm system which already had a backup battery. Has almost surpassed the 30 minute mark with just my alarm system hooked up to it.

Great no frills UPS at a Great Price
One months use and a few drop outs of power during storms and the unit functioned perfectly. Power remained on the cable modem, vonage modem, router and computer for more then the 10 minutes it took for the power to return. An excellent unit for the price. Happy with the purchase.

Burnt up
Bought it. Plugged it in for initial charge. About 3 months later got around to adding it to the power system of my computer. Intended ONLY to power through hickups in power; we have the power blip from 1-2 seconds often in our area. After first few blips and one 30 minute outage where unit dishcarged and shut off smelt like burnt wires and hot VERY VERY hot. Sent to recycling center. Total usage day under 30.

Best Value for the Money
I have many APC backups, however, I have always had the best of luck with TrippLite Products. I still still think they are the industry standard. I have a few UPS and surge protectors from them that have been doing an excellent job. This one is replacing an APC that created a brownout condition and no warnings went off prior to the issues. It almost fried $500 worth of telephone equipment. My APC 500ES even when power returned created a brownout situation. Go Tripplite and save the hassles.
