Very Simple, and Effective!
Plugged into the back of my SATA drive, and plugged in IDE cable and power... Fired right up! Cheap and easy fix!

Worthless
Tried every combination with the jumper and could not get the computer to even see the HDD. When it was plugged into a SATA connection the HDD worked fine.

Good fix, but no documentation
This is an inexpensive way to marry the new woth the old. Only problem was it didn't come with an documentation, so I had to play around with the jumper a bit to set it up as a slave.

A good fix
This gizmo allowed me to hook up a SATA drive to an older PC. Understanding that the SATA by definition is a faster data rate, I did not have high hopes for a good conversion rate but this gizmo made it possible to run-install programs off a (non-returnable) SATA DVD. Conversion is not fast enough to play a DVD movie without cutting-out time to time, but it solved my dilema.

No instructions not Plug and Play corrupted and Destroyed TWO NEW ide hard drives Was told to change Hard drives to master and if that didn't work try all 4 jumper configs on the board by Tech Support of Maker

INEXPENSIVE BUT.....
IT FUNCTIONS, BUT NOT WELL. AFTER FORMATTING AND REBOOTING THE SYSTEM TREATED THE DRIVE AS UNINITIALIZED AND REQUIRED FORMATTING AGAIN. I ABANDONED IT ( NOT WORTH THE FREIGHT TO RETURN)

Works very good.
Use to program HD in an exterial HD unit. Works with SATA and IDE Hard Drives. Just plug-in and go. I configure my Hard Drives before I install Drives in my computers. Allows install of SATA drives in IDE computers.
