This item will NOT work with 64bit Windows OS, It also will not install or work with Home Premium or lower editions. Tech support has no solutions in works nor sympathy. Package labeling and company specifications do not inform customer of known issues making this product a useless waste of money.

MULTI-USER WINDOWS IS ILLEGAL

Please note, it is ILLEGAL for more than one person to use a Windows Desktop simultaneously. If you are a business or home and you have more than one person using a single license of XP, Vista or 7 simultaneously via an NComputing setup, you are violating the license agreement and are subject to prosecution. Each person MUST have their own Client Access License (CAL) so while this device WILL cut down on the number of desktop computers, it will NOT reduce the number of Windows Desktop Licenses required.

wonderful product

The man is using a enterprise edition, which is capable of fully rendering multi-users at a single moment. Also a powerful cpu is required, also using a Hub limits data being moved from host Pc, multiple usb from Host Pc is the best ideal idea. A pc with no gpu, basically Memory cpu mobo, psu and maybe a dedicated lan card. Hope this helps.

Does not work with Windows 7 Home Premium

After installing the vSpace software on my computer with Windows 7 Home Premium it asks for a restart. During the restart it went to Blue Screen. Now the system can not be accessed any way not even in Safe Mode. After this I called Ncomputing tech support for help just to find out that they don't support Windows 7 Home Premium of any kind 32 or 64 bit versions. The only thing they could suggest is to reinstall Windows 7 which means loosing all my programs and settings. So for those of you who are looking at the Ncomputing software as an option for multi-seat please be aware that the Windows 7 Home Premium is not supported

Good product

We have installed a couple of these, they work well with Windows XP. They do seem to freeze up occasionally requiring a reboot of the main computer, but they work very well other than that.

Absolutly Love It !

I purchased an off lease computer along with 2 of these units to have the virtual desktops, easily worked right out of the box.I personally didnt realize about the 64 bit system so I was lucky that my PC came with XP Pro 32 bit. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to use a virtual desktop and have your own desktop on another screen and not hinder the main computer at all. I wander if any of the people who were having problems call to get help from the manufacturer or just sit and complain ?

Dissapointed

I bought 2 of these hoping to reduce power useage when I have a nice dual core running 24 7. It does operate as advertised and works well when it does. Have one connected through 1 6 foot cable and one through a hub about 20 feet away. And yes I bought high quality 2.0 cables and hubs. The distance one usually has about once a day trouble. The close one will drop keyboard or have display problems a couple times a week. Window is NOT a multi user OS, this is a kludge of the OS to make it that way. Expect problems.

Not for Netbook, GREAT for Desktop PC!

I got this hoping to use with my Acer netbook while surfing in the living room, and running a usb cable to it hooked up to tv for watching Network video's, etc., but my Acer netbook didn't have enough resources to run it. Instead hooked it up to my HP Desktop with 2 Gigs of Ram and it works PERFECTLY! It is so SWEET to multi-task and work and play this way.

Does Not Support 64-Bit Operating Systems

I purchased this hoping to try it out with one of my employees. Could not get the software to work. only after doing a search for 64-bit on Ncomputing's website did I find a small entry saying they did not support 64-bit OS's. I was not happy as I felt this should have been prominently displayed since most machines are now shipping with 64-bit operating systems! They said they would have something out in a few months but could not commit to that. I was not holding my breath since they have already had a few years.

NO 64 Bit OS

can not use on a 64 bit OS which it does not say. It tells you it works with windows hello windows is 64 bit also!
