Pretty good devie
Out of the box, charged, and operational. Lacking some features that Garmin has. Updated map to 2013 version and headed off to a golf course that has been there for about 5 years.....LOST, not in the system as are the roads to get the the subdivision. Found it by asking directions, came home and looked up location in my Garmin in my car, it was there.....

Good GPS
Like it much better then my old Garmen 250. Gives plenty of warning for turns and I especially like the re routing. Does not tell you it's re calculating, just does it. Could not get two of my computers to recognize the 5045 due to previously installed Magellan communicator software installed for my Explorist GC. Third computer without communicator installed recognized it. Updated maps succesfully.

REFURBISHED MAGELLAN ROADMATE 5045-LM
WORKS VERY WELL MY BIG COMPLAINT IS THE SOUND IS ALL CRACKED UP. EVERYTIME I TURN UP THE SOUND IT CRACKS AND MAKES TERIBLE NOISE. I HAVE TO USE IT WITH THE SOUND TURNED OFF. I SHOULD HAVE SPENT THE ADDITIONAL MONIES AND BOUGHT A NEW ONE.

missing addresses
the product works fine, but 2 of the places that i wanted to go to in the past month weren't in its memory. I called the factory and they said updates were coming and they did, but they still aren't in its memory. The GPS i replaced had both places. I'm a little disappointed.

Overall good product
I purchased refurbished and the issue here is that power connection to this device is loose and all of a sudden it stops charging. Other very good features and excellent product.

Good item, but bad plug
Used the item on long road trip; worked well, with the exception of having the charger continuing to slip out of port when attached to base. Had to sit in on the floor on on the cup holder to view. If the plug was a straight plug as opposed to the one that curves at the end, then it would not have been a problem. Purchased item as Christmas present for husband.

good Price, BUT
Got GPS tried to charge it with the vehicle power plug wouldn't take a charge . plugged into computer it would but than it lasted only about 45 min. not the two hrs. like it said in the book so now I'am waiting for the replacement. And I'am hoping it works a lot better

Works well no problem
I ordered the same model I bought 1 year ago but not refurb. This refurb navigation works well just like my older navigation but cost $30 less than non refurb. Updating it to the latest software was a breeze and everything is working just fine. This is simple to use and very reliable compared to my built-in navigation that cost me about 2K.
