The Hawking Technologies' Wireless Signal Booster is a high performance, range extending wireless solution for your home or business network. The award winning Hawking WiFi Signal Booster increases the output power of a wireless signal by up to 600%. A standard wireless device has a peak output power of around 70mW. The Hi-Gain Signal Booster is capable of pumping out 500mW of wireless distance extending power. The Hawking Hi-Gain WiFi Signal Booster attaches to the antenna connector of certified wireless devices.
Plug and play installation makes the Signal Booster easy to setup. Simply unscrew the original wireless antenna on the approved device and screw on the connector cable of the Signal Booster.
Not only does the WiFi Signal Booster increase wireless distance, it also boosts the performance of wireless networks. By extending the overall distance of a network, the HSB2 increases the overall speed of data transmissions throughout the network.
Utilizing signal filters, the HSB2 minimizes any wireless interference within the network. The advanced signal filters clean the wireless signals emitted by the wireless device to ensure a interference free environment.

Because I frequently listen to streaming audio, I carry my laptop all over the house. At the extreme end of the house, the signal used to drop out when just using my router alone. This pseudo-amplifier solved that problem. |

I didn't think it was clear from reading theonline description, but I was looking for a booster for my existing wireless router. This product is actually something that hooks to your workstation to increase the receiver power of the workstation wireless card. This won't work well for a laptop unless it is stationary. Pretty much only for a desk PC. I returned this products so really can't comment on performance, except for I know that this gives off a very high pitchednoise when it is powered on. i'm not sure that I could have kept it for that reason as well. Returned without using...Jim |

Have had the HSAB2 802 for over 6 months. Very pleased and does boost signal as advertised. Would recommend to anyone who needs more range. |

We have a two story Cedar log home that has been problamatic in that we cannot run hard wiring. This unit instantly solved our problems, boosting signal strength that even reaches our dock area. Installation is a snap and given the low price and the fact that nothing else worked, I consider it a tremendous value. |

I just received this product a few weeks ago and it's been working beautifully. It's currently on the medium signal boost level attached to my dlink di-624 wireless router 100 feet away and through several walls giving a steady connection that rarely drops with full speeds (have up to a 600-900kB download and 90-100kB upload running simultaneously with some leeway to do some web surfing). It would be annoying if you have to sit next to it since it emits a high-pitch whine that's audible from 3-4 feet away, but other than that it's a great product for the cost. |
