Works Great

Just plugged it into a Windows 8 PC and it started working. The arrow keys are a little too close to the main keys on the keyboard. Scroll wheel on mouse is very smooth.

Software not compatible with Windows 8 yet!

It is a nice mouse and keyboard combo but the software download form Microsoft or all companies does not support Windows 8 yet. You would think because it is from Microsoft they would have the hardware support in the OS. The computer would continue to crash and reboot until I uninstalled the hardware's software. Can not use the shortcut keys at top of the keyboard.

Does what it needs to do

The keyboard has a cheaply made feel, but all the multi media buttons work as they are supposed to. The mouse is less comfortable than my older logitec, and had to be adjusted to speed it up some. Other than that, what can you say about keyboards and mouses?

good value with exceptions

I purchased this to replace a wireless desktop from micro innovations which I purchased in 2001. The only reason for replacement was the mouse. The microsoft keyboard is full size but the keys are all too close together and are hard for me to type on without making a lot of mistakes. When the set arrived it was very easy to set up (plug-n-play. When I tried to log-in to any site the keyboard would keep typing in the number 8 until I hit the delete key. I contacted microsoft blog site and ask what to do and they had no answer. I also found out through the blog site about other problems with the combo. After three days of trying everything that anyone could suggest I bounced the keyboard off the floor in frustration and guess what, it now works great. I would not recommend this keyboard to anyone with big fingers as there is no separation between any of the keys.

Good keyboard and mouse combo

Solid little keyboard and mouse. Works well, and it's quality is fair compared to what you're paying for it. It's by no means a top end keyboard, it's a no nonsense keyboard and mouse. I have found the mouse has problems working on some mouse pads and a plain surface works best but if you're used to using a mouse pad you might not like this setup. So your comfort may vary depending upon mouse pad and wrist cushion in use. I do like the on off switch on the bottom of the mouse that saves battery life. Too bad they didn't include that on the keyboard. For the price it's a good deal, but it could be better. It does the job, it does it cheaply. It's not anything fancy, but it's a solid little performer combo. As others have suggested, if you're used to using better then stick with using higher end combos. You get what you're paying for.

Gets the job done

Looks good, feels good, but for a bit more go with the top of the line. Logitech beats Microsoft on all low end packages, and is equal on high end devices.
