Continued from my last review
Ran out of space in the first part of my review. I just can not say ENOUGH about this unit! (I am a computer tech, in case you can't tell!) As for speed, I also have an I-Omega iConnect unit that I had wanted to use with a couple of USB drives (a 1TB and a 1.5 TB Seagate. The iConnect data transfer rate is terrible with large drives. However, with the D-Link DNS-320, I get great data transfer rates using the Gigabit ethernet connection and my Gigabit router. (It is a Netgear DualBand N-600.) Using WiFi has been a problem with the iConnect as well. Further, the USB port on the Router is also slow and thus I must assume that it is the USB speed for these connections. The D-Link solves that by 1) its own CPU speed and 2) network connection speed. I HIGHLY recommend this unit!

Great basic NAS
Very simple to set up and use. This will support 2GB drives out of the box, and there's a firmware update already available with 3GB drive support.

Good value
Very good basic server. Set up raid 0, seems to do what it is supposed to, so far.

Got what I wanted
I added this NAS to my network to both unclutter my desktop drive and to provide access to shares. Setup took five minutes . . . plugged it in and slid the drive into the bay and watched it format the drive (I elected to NOT use the Raid features. Have had this for about two months and have had no problems. An easy and simple drive. . . If you want complicated, buy the more expensive units.

pros and cons??
I think this is a very good unit. The only problems I have with it is, slow to power up the HDDs, and in the program that comes with it, it does NOT give me anything I would not normally have with my OS to begin with. It claims it can back up computers, well, it has not done so since I have had it. Above all though, it is a GREAT product! I WOULD buy more of them if they were in stock!!

Good basic NAS
This is the first NAS I've bought with a 2 TB HDD planning to buy the second to have backup redundancy, installation was easy and configuration was done quickly, I also upgraded my router to one with Giga-ports to enable faster data speed flow between my NAS and my computers, so far it works as expected.

Works OK BUT USB port disapointing
USB port cannot be used for output access by USB backup drive. Now stuck with no way to back up this drive array. You have to read the very fine print.

Ok for the price
I got this for use as my second media server on a GB network. Pretty easy to setup and it will support 3 TB drives with firmware update. Couple of issues for me. I have 2x3 TB drives installed (Raid 0) and I was getting bad stutter playing movies when it was intalled at the same location as the other server (which had no problems). I had to move the server next to the media player for it not to stutter(connected to the same switch). The only other issue is a loud fan.
