A resistive touchscreen panel is a technology composed of several layers, the layers that allow control of positioning are two thin, electrically conductive layers separated by a narrow gap. When your finger, presses down on a point on the panel's outer surface the two metallic layers come in contact at that point, and that location is sent to the device - to perform some action or move the cursor. Resistive touchscreens are reliable, but can only be used to control a single point at a time.

great tablet
this is lightweight and works very well. I wish it had phone availability because I'd totally give up my smartphone for it. It was pretty pricey on this site, and I wish I'd waited for a better price, but it was delivered ASAP and does what I want it to without too much hassle. I'd like to be able to take the battery out to reset, but otherwise great tablet.

Outsatnding value.
Works great as expected and the dual core processors and 1GB ram performs as expected. However the only problem that I encountered so far is when I shoot with the back camera during the night time with flash, the image appears very dim, but evrything is OK during daytime without using the flash.

Best Tablet Yet
I bought one on clearance for my elderly mom to use ... ideal size, light weight, quality build, and ease of use. Way better useability than Samsung's 7 or 10 inch Androids, and much easier to handle than the heavier iPad 2. That Samsung is discontinuing the 8.9 series is a shame, and likely based on some really bad marketing data.
