This printer has a fast print time and decent enough scanner capabilities for a small office or for personal use. The feeder tray requires one-by-one feeding to use and envelopes jam at times. The toner usage is fine except when the printer detects that it's empty, it won't let you use it at all - you can't shake it then put it back. I have another Samsung without the scanner part that can use the toner for another 4 weeks. You also cannot replace it with other manufacturer's cartridges. If you get for around $170, it's worth it if you can afford to waste toner.

Linux Printer Support

I have had a problem scanning at resolution higher than 600dpi. Althouth the specs and the user manual indicates that this multifunction printer is Linux compatible, Samsung does not provide Linux support. I would not have purchased this printer if I knew that Samsung would not stand behind thair product for Linux. Because of this, I cannot recomment this printer for Linux users.

Great printer

Great printer for the price. Setup was plug-n-ply easy, no problems. Was up and running within 10 minutes. The only issue has been the scan2pc option. It just won't work with my laptop (Windows 7 x64). I've had to settle for working with the direct scan application which works just fine.

A Real Good Deal

Brought this into a 3 man office to replace a very large multi-function machine with a very large lease that was ending, don't know why we were so loyal to that bad purchase when this single machine does everything that we need, better, quicker and with the same or better quality. Was a little touchy to set up with multiple users on various machines, but all went well. Highly recommend this for others.
