Works for me
Has two USB plugs but with my laptop (Samsung S9 Ultrabook) worked fine with one even for burning. 2nd one only needed if power inadequate from single. Good thing as second plug is too short to reach other side of laptop without extension. Small, sleek and works well.

Excellent unit
Requires 2 USB ports (I presume for additional power used in burning)and doesn't support external power adapter. I use it for creating bootable system restore DVD's and it does so perfectly. So far I've tried CDR, DVDR data burns, CD Audio and DVD movie RIP's and it handled all of those just fine. Seems to cover all current formats. Quiet and good seek time. No reason not to recommend this drive!

I LOVE IT!
This is a great dvd cd writer! I had a dinosaur clunky one. This is great for travel. I switch it between 2 laptops, just plug it in and it works instantly. Great price for what you get.

This is a STEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!
I purchased this device and wondered IF it would meet my standards for all my play and burn needs. Well, it has met them all and surpassed a few. It's portable and fits my tote; it's fast enough to burn stuff at 24x just as the specifications say. This was one of my best buys in recent times. Stopping here to avoid writing a booklet.

For the money, can't be beat
Opened up, plugged it up to the netbook, and off it went. I wanted this to go with my netbook that I take to friends houses to check out their systems, and it's compact size makes it perfect for transport. It does seem rather fragile, so I recommend putting it back in it's original box when carrying around. Definitely would buy again.
