Beyond fast CPU
This CPU is extremely fast especially when teamed up with a SSD and top motherboard (I have the ASUS Rampage IV Extreme). I added 32Gb Corsair Vengeance Red DDR3 1866 MHZ and it works beyond my expectations.

This is one SUPER CPU
Been running this unit for almost a year with a P9X79 Deluxe motherboard and 64gig Corsair Vengeance 1800megahertz ram and a Corsair H100 liquid Cooler and Ultra 1050 Modular PSU. all in a Corsiar 650D case This system is a butt kicker REALLY and at 100% load runs at 53C. If you want a SUPER Fast System, This is it..

Great CPU!
I purchased this CPU with my new build with an ASUS Rampage IV Extreme and it is blazing fast! Make sure you get a decent cooler like the Intel RTS2011LC because it does not include any fans. This CPU replaced my old q9550 and it was a huge upgrade! You can definaetly notice the speed difference especially with sli setups. Before i was bottlenecking my 2 gts 580's and it was frustrating that i could not take advantage of them in todays games like battlefield 3. With this baby it is no problem it never gets over 35% usage in the game! Definately a must buy for the extreme gamer.

Wow
Like a previous reviewer, I grew tired of waiting for the I7-3930 processor to become available (a marketing ploy by Intel?) but anyway, decided I really wanted to go with the 2011 socket board because they are the only ones I found with eight dimm slots. I installed the cpu and 32gb of 1600 ram on an Asus p9x79 pro motherboard then put this and a Corsair 120gb SSD drive into a Coolermaster HAF case with a Coolermaster silent pro 1200 watt power supply, added an H100 liquid cooler for the cpu. Without any overclocking I get a 7.8 score on the cpu and a 7.9 on memory. System runs extremely cool (about 10 degress above room temperature!) and is so fast I have to pay attention or I'll miss something as it goes flying by. Great product. Too bad it's still too expensive.

Awesome processor
This processor is excellent. I became weary of Intel constantly starving the LGA 2011 market of 3930K's and had been sitting on an incomplete computer for over a month in anticipation. The processor runs very cool even under load, I have it overclocked to turbo-boost to 4.5ghz and only have hit about 61 degrees Celsius running Passmark Burn-in Test for an hour. My only reason for dinging it on value is the performance difference relative to price vs. the 3930K, only about a 1000 point difference on benchmarks. For overclocking, however, there is a little bit more headroom with this processor with because of the 15mb L3 cache as opposed to the 12mb L3 cache on the 3930k.

The best of the best....
Gold????All over the bottom of this processor, it was a lot more than an ounce to me ;) 12 cores in my gadget barely even work at all, and I know that with a nice cooler you will be over joyed as I am.... Have this processor put in a magnificent motherboard and Be Free in this world to enjoy to do good works around the world with your financial data secure to the banks and the future of life itself...... My computer doesn't have pride and it does so well :) I am so pleased....
