Absolutely beyond my expectations
recently due to work I do with a school and limited available equipment, I wanted to show the kids message movies and movies of themselves. I read all reviews I could find, and out of the 3 or 4 proj based on this new technology, bought this model because it had audio out. Re it's main purpose, projecting the image. It does work in a reasonably lit room, and is completely viewable, however the contrast, detail and color saturation explode when you drop the lights to at least a mostly dark area, with say side lighting. Does not have to be completely dark to get the best effect. The remote is a little sluggish, and the menu to update the firmware, seemed a little cryptic, and there is no grab part to focus the lens, so I gave it a 4 on features. I only used it with the HDMI, and it plays everthing I threw at it. I bought a lightweight tripod to mount it. Bottom line, it is really exciting, stunning visuals, an instant home theatre!
