Good, honest, quick support communications. AverTV Software doesn't work with VISTA (yet, hopefully soon?) but card does work under VISTA Media Center. The AverTV software found more channels than MCE and appears to be more intuitive but since it became non-responsive when opened I could never tell for sure. AverTV suggested running from MCE and sure enough, beautiful HDTV. Getting by with that for now and hoping AverTV comes through with a working VISTA front end. I'm betting it would be all fives.

Unlike some others who purchased this card, I have no complaints about it. I have built about 5 systems so I have a little bit of experience with hardware and this was by far one of the easiest pieces of hardware to install. All you do is download the drivers from their website and then point Windows in that direction and it installs it automatically. I have Windows Media Center 2005 and an All in Wonder 9800 Pro for my analog tuner as well as an HDTV Wonder for my primary HD tuner. This is my secondary HD tuner and I wish I would have bought two of these rather than wasting the extra money on the HDTV Wonder. By the way, I have one of the small antennas hooked up to this and I put it in the attic and then hooked up a signal amplifier. It's about $30 and will really boost the signal. I even have the antenna signal split 5 ways and it still gives me 90% signal on all connections. Also, the image quality on this tuner is just as good as the HDTV Wonder. They both look excellent!

Lots of variables in ''image quality'' with a homemade system. I get over the air HD with a directional antenna and it is great. 1080i on my 57 inch screen through a component connection. The card does great, and 80 bucks is cheap for HD. Windows Media Center works flawlessly with it. I run this card and a Hauppage 150 MCE for the analog signal and they work great together. I don't give things 5 stars unless they exceed my expectations. This card met all my expectations with flying colors.

I now have 3 of these in my homemade Windows MCE machine, and am extremely happy with the card. I started with 2, and found a hack to be able to allow more than 2, since adding the 3rd, I intend to get at least one more! These cards are perfect for a homemade MCE machine, as they are reasonably priced and work very well.
