It's a monster
It's huge - but for a reason. I don't overclock but I do use my system for heavy video rendering and editing. NEVER have had an issue with heat - even when the room temp was high. You may have to check clearances with your RAM before purchase.

Worth it
I just built a new computer and I have to say this is the single piece I'm the most pleased with. It's not over priced and worth every penny. Keeps cool even though I'm overclocked 1ghz and it's very quiet compared to the stock fan.

Great cooler.
Put this heat sink and fan in my machine over a year ago and it has never failed me. Like all components in your case it will collect dust on the massive heatsink, I recommend taking it out and dusting it out with some air every 3 months or so. Great performance for the value.

GREAT HEATSINK AND FAN!
This heatsink and fan worked great out of the box. The instructions were fairly easy to follow. You should install it before attaching MB to case. It keeps my new i7-3770k nice and cool(61C) at stock levels while playing BF3 at full rendering.

Solid
It's massive. Had to turn it 90 degrees since it was blocking a RAM slot. Somewhat tricky to install. Those minor issues aside it is a beast.

Fair cooling on 8350, Max temps down
Just installed it on my M5A99X Evo R2.0 with my FX-8350. The stock cooler was really loud and letting the max temps get a little our of control playing games. The idle temps are slightly better but the max temps have dropped at least 10c and the noise has gone down a lot. Went in easy enough and although it doesnt give much headroom for OC, theres probably a little space if needed although I'd probably have gone for something better for OC. Anyways, for what I paid and the easy of installation, it does pretty good on a hot running CPU like the 8350.

Great cooler - large
I put this on an i5 and it keeps everything nice and cool at less than 80F with the fan at under 600 rpm and nearly silent. The cooler is very large - had to move the fan to pull from the other side as the RAM cooling fins wouldn't allow it on that side.

If you Can't afford aLiquid Cooler
If your budget won't let you go to a Liquid Cooler. This one of the best Air Cooler on the market. Works as well or better than Air cooler costing 2 to 3 time as much.
