Ok, anyone expecting to listen to music while gaming, don't get these. The bass quality is the worst ever, worse than regular 6$ pair of headphones, no lie. The surround and mic are awsome for gaming, and I'm sure not many get better than this for the price, but like i said any bass is VERY distorted. I haven't watched a movie with them yet, but with the way the bass is I'm sure i will be VERY dissapointed. Only for gaming, if you want something for overall use, don't waste your money like I did... |

As the others have stated, for games these are great. The surround field is wide and they have good spatial projection. They do have power supply noise as expected as psu's do not put out clean power. This is not noticible during normal listening, only during pauses and breaks in the sound. I'm sure this could be remedied with an external self powered usb hub as mentioned before. This is probably a common problem with most usb powered headphones. For movies they are also good, and the same for music. Just don't expect a wide frequency extension. Probably not for anything with to much low bass. Fine for folk, classical or any mellow music at a reasonable level as they do break up at higher levels, which for most would be too loud for comfortable listening. They are good for vocals and acoustics. If your buying these for gaming or any other 5.1 recording, you shouldn't be dissapointed. I'm sure you could get better for more money, but for this price they're great. |

These headphones are great for gamers, and have wonderful sound. So you are by now asking ''Why did I give them a 3 out of 5 if they are so great?'' Well I'm going to explain that. I haven't had my pair of these for three full months yet, and they are already malfunctioning. On the right side the right hand speaker went out for the center channel, making all movies in 5.1 mode have all the voices on the left side, as well as the rear speakers are more left side oriented, even on 4 speaker mode. If I adjust the wire (The problem is right where the wire meets the headphones) to a position where I get that channel back, all of the sound is heavily right oriented, making things sound even more odd. I love these headphones, but I can't give them more than a 3 if they start to malfunction less than three months after I order them. |

Im very happy with my purchase of these head phones, they have awsome sound quality and the 5.1 sound is great for Counter Strike. |

One recommendation: since these headphones get their power from USB, use an external powered USB hub (doesn't have to be connected to pc), then you won't get annoying hiss & pops from a noisy computer power supply. ...Did this and now they're perfect! |

This is the state of the art headphone, when I was buying them I had no idea that they were really in actual surroundsound. I recommend this as a must have headset, and the mic is also a neat little feature of its own. It worked for the natural dragging speaking software, chat rooms, and for some games. The only thing that they can improve on is the quality of the speakers and headset... Just think of the sound if it was Bose speakers or Sony speakers in the headset and metal casing with real leather, now that would be the ultimate headset. |
