Man, has technology come a long way

Recently performed an install for one of my friends. He was updating from a Linksys router that was a couple years old that came free with his cable install. His chief complaint was a lack of range (owns a large house) and he couldn't get wi-fi in one of his back rooms his wife frequents. Did the install, and programmed all of his wireless devices. The system is so easy to use that he installed the drivers for a wireless printer set up and he IS NOT tech savy. The only down side of this all is that I am now green with envy as the strength and range of his wi-fi dwarfs mine. Might be making the purchase shortly! Great device, easy to use and install, and excellent features and benefits. Definite must buy if you are sitting on an older router.

Great Router

Easy to install and have lost no cable connections. Downloads 10 items at sa time with no problems. Wireless was also easy to set up with laptop. Easiest installaton of a router I've had.

Works great

Easy to setup, excellent build quality and no dropped connections. I bought the WNDR4500 to replace my old D-Link which frequently dropped connections.

Horrible!!

I don't know where all the excellent reviews came from, but I did not have such luck with this router. It loses connectivity, slows down at any given time. I sent this one back got another same problem. So, I got my old Netgear back up and running!

Very good

I bought 2 Netgear WNDR4500-100NAS N900 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Routers. the first one worked great. excellent wi-fi range and the bandwidth and speed are great.

Loses Internet Connectivity Frequently

While the features and throughput are fine when the unit is functioning, I frequently lose internet connectivity for both of our computers. It becomes frustrating to need to continually unplug and reset the unit.

Great Product

I've had this for about 3 months and no issues to-date. Set-up was easy and it has worked flawlessly. With previous routers, I had frequent connection dropouts and often lost my work VPN. No such issues with the Netgear WNDR4500. We have several devices (TV, iPods, Wii, XBox 360, laptops, PCs, etc) connecting via WiFi throughout the house without any issues. My son can now download NetFlix movies while I telework without losing the connection! It is well worth the money and I highly recommend it.

Great Router

I have had this router for six months no problems. Easy to set up. Have use up to five wireless devices at one time inculding an X-Box streaming netflix, router kept up with the tasks.

Sweet router, but expensive

I wish the price would have been cheaper, lol. But I'm still very happy with the router. I wasn't getting the range I needed for a three story house before and my down+up load speeds weren't the best. This router fixed all that! Setup was ok, I had to download and install another program to get it going, but then the program also gave me the latest firmware upgrade, so that makes it ok. Bottom line, very fast even with lots of devices connected to it. $200 is too much to pay for a router any day! HA!

Nice High Speed Router

Router has been set-up for about a month and it works great. Running more than ten IP addresses from it with no problems. The only downside is it has no blinking lights.
