Fast!
This SSD is FAST and at an affordable price. Prior to purchasing it most of the reviews I read puts it ahead of some of it's more pricey competitors.

fast and not hot
Put it in my laptop. It struggles with a huge registry. Booting is back up to snuff. Haven't got firmware update yet. The support is great, as are their other products.

Bumpy ride so far
Agree with previous post. A new drive ought to work new and not be replaced with a used one to fix a problem. Bought one of these because of its promise and wanted to upgrade from an OCZ original 120MB to this faster one. Performance is very chunky and severely slows down World of Warcraft loading and game play with hitting the disk and Firefox takes randomly long times to load. Can't update to 1.3.3 as updater locks up my Win7Pro 64-bit system (P6X58D motherboard) requiring power cycle. One performance tool measures the SSD at approx 1600 spec (their spec) when it should be approx 2700. So at this point, I'm a bit stuck. Yes!!! It is faster than a traditional hard drive and my system does boot more quickly. Just not at all as smooth as the previous SSD of lower speed SATA technology. However, having said all this, I would expect my ratings to go up (except for Quality) when this problem is remedied.

Fantastic SSD
Easily installed. Works just like it wqas supposed to. Incredible performance increase. None of the troubles described in other ssds such as updating BIOS or DSOD. Highly recommended

FAST!!!
I had my old computer upgraded after the power supply fried my motherboard. (New Rampage III extreme motherboard & i7-970 processor). Since I replaced my old video cards with asingle EVEA Classified GeForce GTX 590 then 2 Corsair CSSD-F240GBGT-BK SATA III drives. Installing the video card & little SSD Drives were easy & simple. I had a fast computer before the SSD Drives, BUT it now opens up sooooo much faster & Rendering video is unbelievably quick. Not cheap, but really worth the money! Both the video card & 2 SSD drives purchased from this company at different times (best price).

Make sure to update Firmware first.
Ok if you can get it updated to the latest 1.3.3 firmware you are golden. The firmware update software is crap so getting this drive to update is not fun. I had to try updating the drive in 3 different computers without any luck. luckily i had a 4th computer and it actually updated in that one. Corsair say its problematic with marvel sata 3 devices. I couldnt get it to update on 2 intel sata 2 devices. Corsair's fix for this is instead of actually fixing the software issue to RMA the drive to them. If their RMA return is like many other companies it means you get a refurbed drive back. Returning a brand new drive for a used one is not something i want to do. Hopefully Corsair reads this and fixes their software.
