This is the LTH type, but the ad description does not state this. This disk is not recognized by some of the older readers, so it is useless to copy files onto to them.

Good value

Burned 3 discs so far, and they worked perfectly with my LG WH14NS40 Blu-ray burner.

No coasters!

I've never used media that have worked so well, awesome! My first blank BD media purchase and it was obviously a good choice.

Waste of money

These discs are NOT the purple coated Verbatim BD-R's!! Those old purple coated Verbatim 25GB BD-R's were the best on the market. Inexpensive, 100 percent burning reliability and they played flawlessly in all the BD players I ever owned. When I ordered these Verbatims, I thought I was buying the ''purple ones'' ... A mistake and now I'm stuck with discs I can't use because these yellow coated LTH types don't work in my LG burner. Even if they did, I'm not even sure the discs would play in my BD player. I don't understand why it is that whenever a company makes a good product, they can't leave it on the market more than a year or two. They seem to have this inexplicable itch to discontinue it and replace it with garbage. I did my homework (a little late admittedly) and found that these LTH type discs are known to have compatibility problems with older burners and some set-top BD players so... buyer beware.

So far so good.

The LTH discs a year later

I bought the 2x model of these discs and now they will not play on my panasonic DMP-BD35. They used to play on it though (one full year ago) so they may get defective over time. (tried panasonics firmware upgrade etc.) The surface area of at least half of 40 have slight to severe scarring on the outer edges which now turns the movies into distorted frames. I have almost finished replacing all of those with Ridata and Optical Quantums with only about 5 bad out of 125. I used to trust Verbatim but now I have about 10 left I'd rather not use for anything important. I wouldn't recommend these for long term storage.

Great Disk's

I have used just about the entire spindle of disks now, and haven't had any problems with any of them, both with burning Blu-Ray video's and data backup.
