Dead in Less than a Year
This was my second Netgear router I have ever owned and just the like the first one, it stopped transmitting a wireless signal in under a year. Good product when it worked, but seems to me that Netgear makes poor quality equipment that do not last. Purchased an ASUS router instead which is working very well.

I THINK ITS WORKING OK
COMPLICATED TO SETUP. CONFUSING! I STILL HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO GET AN UPDATE.

Great home router
I got the WNDR3800 as a replacement for an aging Dlink router. One of the key features for me was the ability to mount HFS disks, and use them for time machine backups. This worked perfectly, but I had to reformat the volume to a non journaled partition. Other than that this is a great router, being able to stream media to an machine in the house + xbox is fantastic.

Router not yet ready
Have given this router ample opportunity to work in my simple environment. The 2.4 GHZ band has been intermintent even after latest firmware upgrade. The features on this are great but I really have to wonder if netgear has released this product in it's beta stage. Have now gone to the 4500, which seems to be much more stable in both bands. Too bad really liked the clear channel surfer option
