This phone is total garbage! I had three so far replaced by T-mobile for faulty screens that usually fail after a week or less of usage! Also the USB port is specific for this phone alone and next to impossable to find a data cable. Most DEFFINATELY not a MODERS choice!!! Flex versions are not easily found also, Nor is international support and repair service!

This is a pretty small phone. It is definitely for those on a budget. It is for those who don't care about having or being seen with the hottest, coolest phone at all. Not me, it is a long story how I got this. With that price what else do you expect? I think you get what you pay for with this, which is, it is an ok phone. It is durable. It has texting e.t.c It is a good text centre. It has been lasting me for a pretty long time; i think 2 yrs now. Maybe good things come in small packages? If u r 1. cheap, 2. on a budget, 3. don't care how you'll look with a small phone, and yet 4. still want quality, get this.

I've been using this phone for a year and a half and it is dying. The problem is in the flip-open. Drops most calls now. My daughter, this same phone, had her screen burn out. The Cingular agent told her that this phone turned out to be their least reliable. If you only keep a phone for a year, its a great phone, but don't expect it to withstand heavy use for long.

Have had one of these for over a year and have only one real complaint. There is no way to easily hook an external antenna to it. Other than that it works like a champ. Since it is one of the very few phones now available without a camera I will probably use mine as long as I can find a battery since we are not allowed to have cameras, of any kind at work. Do wish it were Bluetooth compatible.

We bought three of these things and have them on Cingular network. We get dropped and gurgled phone connections everyday (may not be unlocked... we got straight from Cingular store).
Each phone had a temporary problem with freezing up or just shutting off with near full battery charge. We have had these for nearly 18 months now and are ready to pitch them out the window!
No unique bells or whistles compared to other available phones. They are considered on the low end of the scale currently and can get free with service activation (if they even carry them at all anymore). A better phone than some I've had in the past, but certainly not the best.
Bluetooth wireless technology is a short-range communications technology
intended to replace the cables connecting portable and/or fixed devices while
maintaining high levels of security. The key features of Bluetooth technology
are robustness, low power, and low cost.
It’s more than seeing. It’s
believing.
Before wires, everything was wireless. Nature found ways to connect it
all—often on a very mysterious frequency. Bluetooth wireless technology
takes its prompt from nature: harmonious, intuitive, seamless. Products with
Bluetooth wireless technology communicate with a sense of purpose and
elegant efficiency. Today, Bluetooth wireless technology can eliminate
wires. In the future, it may make the word “wireless” entirely obsolete.
By then, Bluetooth freedom will be second nature.
Designed to make connectivity invisible and
reliable. A perfect convergence of extraordinary technology and elegant
simplicity. Hundreds of companies are on board. Thousands of engineers have
contributed. Standards have been set. Specifications have been approved.
More than one billion devices are in use. And people are experiencing just
how far they can go.
It’s integrating every dimension of
productivity.
Where do we work? Desk. Sofa. Car. Hotel. Kitchen. Plane. Yard. It’s not one
location; it’s everywhere. It’s not one application; it’s many. With
Bluetooth wireless technology, our options are endless. It’s where we’d most
expect it and where we’d least expect it—and everywhere in between. It
adapts to how we work and how we live, transforming everyday tasks into
everyday solutions. Surprising, nimble, ubiquitous. Seeking new applications
and finding new opportunities—everywhere we turn.
Technically,
Bluetooth is a specification for the use of low-power radio communications to wirelessly link phones, computers and other network devices over short distances. The name "Bluetooth" is borrowed from Harald Bluetooth, who was a king in Denmark more than 1,000 years ago
(Computer people choose the strangest names!). Bluetooth technology was designed primarily to support simple wireless networking of personal consumer devices and peripherals, including cell phones, PDAs,
and wireless headsets.
Note
About Cell Phone Expansion Memory!
Many cellular phones come with a slot
for expansion memory, such as: Mini or MicroSD, MemoryStick Micro, or
others. Expansion memory is a great way to safeguard photos, contact
lists, and other files. On our product pages, we may show photos or
diagrams of how this memory is inserted and used with the phone for
informational purposes, since we try to be as comprehensive in our
explanation of each phone's features and functions as possible.
However, additional expansion memory cards are NOT included with the phone
(unless explicitly stated).
Remember, regardless of the
brand of your phone, use only compatible micro/mini SD, or memory stick
cards, approved by your phone's manufacturer for use with your device. This
is because not all expansion memory is designed for the same specifications
(such as read/write speeds and capacity). Incompatible cards may
damage the card and the device and corrupt data stored on the card.
Also, when inserting a memory
card into your phone, your phone may prompt to format the memory card.
When a memory card is reformatted, all data on the card is permanently lost.
Some memory cards are supplied preformatted and others require formatting.
Consult your memory card's user guide to find out if you must format the
memory card before you can use it. If you are using a memory card in
your phone that was used on another device, such as a digital camera, or a
PC, exercise caution as viruses can be transferred in this way. Never
insert a memory card into a computer that does not have up-to-date antivirus
software. Only open files on the memory card that are known safe.
When in doubt, insert the card in a compatible computer and run a antivirus
scan.
What Is GSM? Today's Wireless Revolution is being
achieved through the GSM family of wireless technology platforms
- today's GSM, GPRS, EDGE & 3GSM.
It is the basis of a powerful family of platforms for the future
- providing a direct link into next generation solutions
including GPRS (General Packet Radio Services) EDGE (Enhanced
Data for GSM Evolution) and 3GSM.
GSM's unrivalled success can be attributed to many factors,
including the unparalleled co-operation and support between all
those supplying, running and exploiting the platform. It is
based upon a true end-to-end solution, from infrastructure and
services to handsets and billing systems.
GSM is a standard that embraces all areas of technology,
resulting in global, seamless wireless services for all its
customers. It's all part of the Wireless Evolution.
GSM (Global System for Mobile
communications) is the technology that underpins most of the
world's mobile phone networks. The GSM platform is a hugely
successful wireless technology and an unprecedented story of
global achievement and cooperation. GSM has become the world's
fastest growing communications technology of all time and the
leading global mobile standard, spanning 214 countries. Today, GSM technology is in use by more
than one in five of the world's population - by June 2006 there
were over 2 billion GSM subscribers, representing approximately
80% of the world's cellular market. The growth of GSM continues
unabated with almost 400 million new customers in the last 12
months. The progress hasn't stopped there. Today's
GSM platform is living, growing and evolving and already offers
an expanded and feature-rich 'family' of voice and multimedia
services.
Our unlocked GSM cellular phones are only designed to work on GSM networks Only! (such as Cingular, T-Mobile, and others in the U.S.; and Fido and Rogers in Canada).
These GSM phones are NOT compatible with CDMA networks (such as Verizon's and Sprint's CDMA networks). If you are buying an Unlocked GSM phone and your intended service provider is not among those major carriers, please
contact that provider to determine their GSM compatibility. Check our GSMA Carrier List above for more information.
Before You Buy, Please
Note:
All of our unlocked GSM phones come from around the globe. As such, features and accessories may vary. Some require US adapters. In some cases, language needs to be reset to English from the default language through manually setting
the language option on the phone.

SPECIAL NOTE
ABOUT RETURNS ON CELL PHONES:
In order to keep providing low prices to all customers, we must institute these
policies to avoid customer fraud. All returned phones are powered on and thoroughly
inspected for damage. Any returns that do not meet the following guidelines
may be refused and returned to you or your credit amount may be reduced or no
credit may be issued at all.
Any returned cell phone must include the original box with matching identification
EIN and Serial numbers. The Serial number on the
phone MUST match the serial number we shipped you.
We will not accept returns or process exchanges
on phones that have physical damage or have been wet. We're sorry,
but if you damage it, we can't accept it back. In the very rare event that
your phone is damaged when you receive it the damage must be reported within
72 hours of receipt. In these cases we will issue a return authorization and
EXCHANGE the damage phone for a like or similar model depending on availability,
provided the serial number matches.
We will not accept returns or process exchanges on phones damaged by water
or any liquids. We know it might've been an accident, but whether it suffered
a small splash of water or a swim in an ocean, we can't take it back. There
are test indicators in the phone that indicate it has been wet, so even if
it dries out, the indicator will still tell us it has been wet.
What Is An
Unlocked Cell Phone?
Simply put, an unlocked cell phone is a GSM cell phone that is NOT locked by
the manufacturer or network provider to be used in a specific country or or
a specific carrier! You are free to use the phone where you want, and
with which ever carrier/network provider that is compatible with the
Unlocked GSM Cell Phone.
A Locked Cell
Phone is one that has a SIM lock.
A SIM lock, simlock, network lock or subsidy lock — not to be confused with
PIN code — is a capability built-in to GSM phones by cellular phone
manufacturers. Network providers use this capability to restrict the use of
these phones to specific countries and network providers. Currently, phones
can be locked to accept only SIM cards from one or more of the following:
Countries
(the phone will work in one country, but not another)
SIM types
(i.e. only specific SIM cards can be used with the phone).
You can
purchase Unlocked mobile phones to work with any GSM provider, as long as it
is compatible with your chosen network, but the phone may still display the
original branding and may not support all of the features your new carrier (such as Friends & Families type features).
Also
Note: That some Unlocked phones may have Network Carrier's Logos imprinted on
them. Such as “AT&T” or “T-mobile”. This in no way inhibits you from
being able to use them on any compatible network, or with any compatible
SIM card, as these phones are unlocked.
Contents of package may vary from those pictured and stated here,
due to changes in manufacturer's specifications or merchandising.
Please check the product information carefully, items not included
may no longer be required.
This Product Has Limited Exchange Privileges.
Only defective exchanges for identical item within 30 days of purchase permitted on this product. After 30 days, please contact the manufacturer at: 1-800-800-8300.
