Fantastic Laptop
This laptop is an excellent machine. It runs fast, looks great, and the backlit keyboard and multi-touch touch pad are becoming necessary features for serious computer users.The easy settings are also a nice touch, though I don't use them extensively. As a university student, this laptop does everything I need, and I would recommend it to anybody, ESPECIALLY someone looking for a windows alternative to a Macbook.

Nice laptop, great quality
Was looking for a lightweight, fast laptop with good battery life. found it. very fast, runs cool, like the silent mode,which reduces fan speed without heating up. love the matte finish so I don't have to constantly wipe the case. only downside is that there is no avi port for hooking directly up to a monitor - this wasn't clear in the product description. requires an adapter (AA-AV1N12B) which was kind of hard to find (2-3 week delivery time) and runs about $40... would have been nice if this was already included, as it is with the 9 series. Also, on a laptop at this price point, would have expected Blue Ray.

Great specs but disappointing detail
Sadly, I had to return this laptop after only one week of ownership. I knew the first day that despite the beautiful form factor and the quick boot features that I love, I could not stand the downsides. The bottom right corner of the laptop where the hdd was located was getting hot on the first day. I also had problems typing with the spacebar and wasn't about to try and modify the stock laptop only 1 week into ownership. But the straw the broke the camel's back was the gap near the edge of the keyboard, where I rested my hands. The bevel was raised slightly and being made from aluminum it was sharp. After only 1 hour of use I had an indent in my wrists from the bevel and was constantly afraid of it cutting into my wrists. Sadly I had to return the laptop.

Great, but still room to improve!
Just wanted to hit a couple points that haven't been mentioned yet. There is no way to quickly turn off wifi. Hotkey does not disable wifi, it opens a program. Touchpad does not work when cold. My walk through the parking lot is enough to cause the metal touchpad to not respond to my fingers. I feel stupid blowing hot air on my laptop to get it to warm up. Other than that it's everything I expected. Great laptop.

Great product!
Great specs, good build quality, some minor issues with the ATI drivers and touchpad, but nothing unfixable.
