Was concerned about buying refurbished product but so far no issues. Easy install and set-up with great sound quality.

Refurbished units still have problems

I received this refurbished product 1 week ago and set it up the same day. Within five days, as others have described, the front panel display (behind the speaker grille on the front speaker) just failed. I am completely impressed by the sound quality from this unit and I will definitely keep the system as long as I can get the center channel display fixed. If they can't get it fixed, I did but the Fair Trade Warranty so I'm not worried either way.

Good value for money

Assembly was pretty straightforward although I did have to reattach a speaker wire. Rear speakers are wired to subwoofer with very long speaker wires. When not in use I put the rear speakers on the subwoofer (Bluetooth) to keep them out of the way of pets. Wires detach and attach at both ends with plugs that are in turn easy to attach and detach to speaker wire. Volume was quite sufficient with nice bass. Remote has a lot of features, with slide out panel.

Buyer beware

This is a nice idea, and, when it works, it sounds pretty good. I was hesitant to buy one of these because of all the issues with the LED failures. But, when I saw a refurbished unit for sale, I assumed that it would have been fixed. Well, it was fixed, in the sense that the LEDs worked fine in the brief time I had it. But there were other issues. The unit turned itself on whenever I even lightly touched it, and then turned itself off in the middle of a movie. So I bit the bullet and paid $80 to ship the thing back. I simply didn't want it, and any net refund at all was better than nothing.

Good Sound System

Had this system now for a month, it puts out good sound quality & is plenty loud for a medium sized room. Like the rear speakers, this is a nice addition for a sound bar system.

Easy to install but not the sound I expected.

It's easy to use but I expected better sound quality. I used the optical connection and I thought the wireless subwoofer would turn off with the soundbar. I have to reach behind the subwoofer to switch it off every time I turn the unit off.

Quality sound is fantastic

If you are looking for budget surround sound, this is hard to beat. Will fill most rooms with adequate sound levels to make you happy, but not true audiophile quality. Will need separates for that, but all in all, you should be happy with what you get for the dollar. The LED'S HAVE ALREADY FAILED.
