Great Alternative to Ipod Touch

My wife has an Ipod Touch and I have been holding out for an Android version with a better camera and memory expansion. This thing really fit the bill. The GPS is icing on the cake!

I am an IPOD Touch owner, but wanted to try the Android world for a change. I wanted a device that had GPS built-in, so this device appealed to me immediately. I have to say, I think I like it more than my iTouch! I was pleasantly surprised by the speed and fluidity of the Android interface on this device. I guess I expected no one would stand up to the Ipod or Iphone in that regard, but this one does so easily. The camera is much better than on the iTouch, and it actually focuses... none of the old-school, fixed-focus stuff here! This makes it real handy for photographing up-close items, which I do frequently with devices like this (receipts, ads, etc.) The GPS seems to work real well, without requiring a wifi or 3G fix to get it's bearings, and the apps are wonderful. I've only listened to music on it once, and it sounded just fine. I mostly use it as a wifi machine and for reference and navigation when travelling.

On par with iPod Touch solution for Android users

First off, my household is an Android family, so take this review accordingly.I bought this for my 14 year son who wanted an iPod touch or a smartphone of some kind. This fit the bill and kept me from having to pay for a data plan for an Android phone (which is ridiculous for a 14 year old). Out of the box, the device delivered, but not without some massaging. It's set to go into storage mode when you connect it to a PC, so you'll have to change that setting so it goes into media player mode so Windows Media Player will recognize it (a minor issue). Overall it performs well, but it's based on somewhat dated Galaxy S hardware. Expandable memory makes is a better value than an iPod Touch. If you're willing to learn the nuances of Android, this is a great alternative to the iPod Touch for non-Apple-centric households.

This is an iPOD killer

Much better than I thought it would be. Much faster than I would expect. Full android market, very fast web page loading. Excellent video playback. Cameras are decent. MP3 playback excellent. SD card support, user replaceable battery. Pros: Not a hippie want to be a techno guy apple ipod, Multi-Touch screen, quick processor, expandable memory Cons: No camera flash

Cool product! Beats Ipod touch on various aspects!

Got this baby from this company even before Samsumg officially released it in the US. Came with 2.35 Android & Nice SuperLCD on par with the iphone4. Beats ipod-touch on several aspects, including FM Radio, GPS, 320Mp camera; also it comes with replacable Battery and Micro SDHC extension(which may support up to 64G micro SD!!!). Another surprise for me is the Youtube app in it, yes, you can watch You tube in hand!
