Great Scanner

Very good scanner, I have purchased over a dozen of these with no problems. This is a scanner with budget in mind. I recommend this scanner for anyone looking for light to medium duty scanning.

Most expensive piece of junk

This scanner is pure disappointment. First of all the double sided scanning is slow because it routes the paper through the scanner 3 times: once to scan side 1, another for side 2, and a final run to turn it back the way it was. Why all this complicated paper handling when other manufacturers just install two scan heads for a simpler one-pass scan? Oh, did I mention it jams when there's a fold in the paper (what bill does not have that)? When it jams, there's no release so you end up ripping the sheet. And yes, there is no way to clean the rollers. There is always a COM error between the hardware and the lousy software. The software is so bulky and is so crash-prone that when I'm not having problems with the feed, I'm having issues with the software. Just look at how many patches they have on their site. Oh, and tech support is just sheer rude and hangs up on you during a chat when they don't know the solution. This happened twice already. Avoid!

Very BAD ADF and BAD Software

1. ADF is useless - Why You cannot clean inner most rollers. So after some use duplex scanning is dead, cleaning cloth won't help for inner rollers. ADF scanning window uses flimsy plastic between paper and light which obviously will have markings with some use as paper passing through is pressed against it. So unless you replace it after some use, you will have continuous running scratch marks across the scan via ADF. ADF uses single roller to pull the paper from tray. This is a nightmare design for duplex scanning, even slightly misplaced paper will get jammed when its reversed in tray below for duplex scanning - Result paper jammed, you cannot open ADF and release jamming rollers. If you are lucky you will get your document back in 1 piece else torn in few. 2.Software provided is useless unless you stick to predefined settings in software, there is no way to change simple settings like brightness or drop a background.

This scanner has caused nothing but problems for our business. We have one that always only flashes the number 23 and we can't find anywhere that says why. It freezes the computers and we've had to re-install drivers and software as well. Buying another one shortly just to get away from this one. Pass on this!

This scanner is a piece of junk. I have spent numerous hours loading and reloading software, installing the drivers and starting over just to have it work once, then die again. There is a repetitive error in the communications between the controlling PC and the HW of the printer that can not be corrected.
