Doesn't work
Multiple drivers later, including calling the company, ftping their solution, still not working. This company replaced (for free!) with another model that worked out of the box. Avoid this one.

Perfect
Just what the doctor ordered for my three machines that don't have a serial port. Used it on my 32 bit Windows 7 and XP Lenovo laptops and my 64 bit Windows Vista Dell Studio PC. Works great, and great value.

Waste of Money
This item does not work. I have the 64 bit system - perhaps if I'd spent hours playing around with the software I might have gotten a solution but really - why throw away my time?

good product and works great
works great and is sturdy built, doesnt give enough power to run a JDM programmer, but I have it hooked up to a rs232-ttl converter and it works fine for my electronics.

Don't buy if you have a 64 bit system
Wasted money and time. Two different laptops running Win7 64bit and the driver won't load. Read many articles and workarounds that simply did not work. There is also a warning on the Prolific web site about counterfit Chinese adapters... could this be one???? Don't buy!

Software problems
Had lots of trouble with this cable (software) on my 64bit machine. Technical support was not able to fix the issue and did not follow up on their offer to send me a new cable. I will not purchase from them again.
