Great Printer
This is the 5th one. It replaces our last Epson LQ-870 that finally gave up. Compared to other brands, the ribbon life is great and the durability is super.

Great for printing on 3 part forms
We got this printer to use on out 3 part bid sheets- we needed something that would print through all 3 carbon pages- and it does- with ease. My only gripe is that it leaves marks on the 2nd and 3rd pages where the wheels move the paper a long- they are not too dark- just annoying. We are considering moving to roller feed sheets when we reorder to avoid this.

One of the few Impact printers still around
I needed this printer for a library application, crating spine and card labels, that I created a few years back. There aren't many impact printers available for the consumer market and Epson has always had one of the most reliable ones.
