What is Bluetooth?
Bluetooth is a radio technology developed to deliver short-range wireless mobility. Bluetooth eliminates cables/wires /cords between devices, such as mobile phones and headsets, and provides services when devices are in

Manufacturers sometimes offer discounts when large quantities of products are purchased without fancy, colorful, retail packaging. We take advantage of these opportunities to bring you the same quality, retail product at a lower price. Retail packaging is designed to look good on a store shelf and attract your attention. It frequently includes more paper, plastic and cardboard than needed. OEM packaging is not as visually attractive but is far more economical and because OEM packaging uses less paper, plastic, ink and cardboard it creates less waste and is better for the environment. Although OEM packaged product ships in a plain white or brown box you can be assured it is the same quality product as the retail packaged version. Buying OEM packaged products saves you money and helps save the planet…GO GREEN AND SAVE GREEN. Included accessories, software, documentation, and manufacturer warranties on OEM products may vary from retail versions. Was looking for a non-infrared solution for my laptop and computer armoire setup. Followed the instructions, for once, and got everything setup just as it said it should work. Using a DELL with built in Bluetooth, didn't need to use the Bluetooth adapter that came with.
Being a 25 year touch typer, the extended delete key is where the End key is on a standard 101 keyboard, after more than a week, I am still fighting that habit to hit there to go to the end of the line.
Performance has been perfect, couldn't ask for better. Keyboard seems to go to sleep after about 15 minutes or so of inactivity, but it does store all your keystrokes, so just be patient if you are coming back from a break, anything you type will show up after about a second.
Thought I would hate the mouse when I saw other users with it, but I was wrong. Fits the hand nicely and getting rid of the clicking scroll wheel feel is actually nice. Love all the shortcut keys. Somthing else I thought I wouldn't use.

Excellent products but you should know a few of its foibles. For instance, in a dual or multi-boot environment you will only be able to passkey protect one of the systems, the rest will have to be unprotected.
The frequent battery change issue is best dealt with by purchasing Tigerdirect's bettery charger/batteries.

I trashed my previous keyboard so had to go shopping.I was leary about bluetooth as I only had a P3 with XP sp2. I ordered on Monday and recieved on Wednesday. Setup was seamless and I located my transciever on a frontside USB...
No problems with transmission although the keyboard is a little flat even with the props up. The mouse fits my paw and this baby is QUIET! I love it!

I love mine. I have a Home Theater PC Setup running 1080i to my 65'' mits. I wanted a way to access my ripped dvd files w/o wires. I also needed to be about 10ft away from the screen to be able to see everything easily. I've got a small home, but the media buttons are responsive from every room. I use the shortcut buttons to access the networked, ripped dvd files. Out of 5 shortcut buttons I use the first 3 for dvd folders, and the others for my ripping programs. The mouse is the best I've ever used, and even works well on the arm of my LAY-Z-BOY. I'm still on my 1st batteries, but then again I use it for a glorified DVD remote, and some web browsing. I was just tired of tripping on the cords. As for The BT, if you accidently press the connect button it will break the connection, so you have to pair the KB with the PC again w/the BT Wiz in the task tray. Fairly simple, type the code from the Wiz and press enter. I've never had mouse problems. p.s. Energizer AA NiMH rocks.
Bluetooth wireless technology is a short-range communications technology
intended to replace the cables connecting portable and/or fixed devices while
maintaining high levels of security. The key features of Bluetooth technology
are robustness, low power, and low cost.
It’s more than seeing. It’s
believing.
Before wires, everything was wireless. Nature found ways to connect it
all—often on a very mysterious frequency. Bluetooth wireless technology
takes its prompt from nature: harmonious, intuitive, seamless. Products with
Bluetooth wireless technology communicate with a sense of purpose and
elegant efficiency. Today, Bluetooth wireless technology can eliminate
wires. In the future, it may make the word “wireless” entirely obsolete.
By then, Bluetooth freedom will be second nature.
Designed to make connectivity invisible and
reliable. A perfect convergence of extraordinary technology and elegant
simplicity. Hundreds of companies are on board. Thousands of engineers have
contributed. Standards have been set. Specifications have been approved.
More than one billion devices are in use. And people are experiencing just
how far they can go.
It’s integrating every dimension of
productivity.
Where do we work? Desk. Sofa. Car. Hotel. Kitchen. Plane. Yard. It’s not one
location; it’s everywhere. It’s not one application; it’s many. With
Bluetooth wireless technology, our options are endless. It’s where we’d most
expect it and where we’d least expect it—and everywhere in between. It
adapts to how we work and how we live, transforming everyday tasks into
everyday solutions. Surprising, nimble, ubiquitous. Seeking new applications
and finding new opportunities—everywhere we turn.
Technically,
Bluetooth is a specification for the use of low-power radio communications to wirelessly link phones, computers and other network devices over short distances. The name "Bluetooth" is borrowed from Harald Bluetooth, who was a king in Denmark more than 1,000 years ago
(Computer people choose the strangest names!). Bluetooth technology was designed primarily to support simple wireless networking of personal consumer devices and peripherals, including cell phones, PDAs,
and wireless headsets.
