Exactly What I wanted
Replacing a 12 year old switch with this. Mounted to my rack perfectly (note rack mounts are provided but not rack mounting screws) Totally plug and play. I literally unplugged patch cords from the old switch and plugged them into the new switch. And what a speed difference from my old 100Mb to new 1000Mb switch that all my computer NICs supported.

It works like it should
Arrived very quickly, connected power plug, connected ethernet cables, working great! I needed a larger switch, and this was priced right. It works like it should - what else is there to say?

Home use only
I bought this for our lab at my work and we had to remove it. It does not have enough space inside to store a large number of MAC addresses so it did a lot of broadcasts on our network and slowed everything down. This would probably be fine for a small network and home use - don't use it in a business environment where you have a lot of machines accessing the network.

Hard to beat for the price
I received a hardware version E1 and the front panel is silver and the rest of the unit is black. The switch is totally plug and play no thought required, haven't had any problems yet. The limited Lifetime warranty D-link has on it makes me feel safe with this device

Should be good
The only reason for 4 stars under quality is that all other D-link products die after 2-3 years. Not sure about this one. Otherwise this seems to be best value for the money, 24 1Gb ports really connect at full speed.

Good switch for $
Good switch with good fans. It's fairly quiet and works great. I'm using it in a warehouse where people smoke around it all the time. It's held up very well considering the smoke and dust. It's been in service for over 1 year. No problems so far.

Good price, works fine
Bought this to replace a switch that had a failing fan, with passive cooling it sucks in less dust, no fans to fail, less maintenance, just does the job. No issues so far after a month, using in medium sized office, setup was as simple as plugging it in.

It does what it's supposed to.
I got one of these a couple of months ago. it's blissfully stupid and just does what a switch is supposed to. Everything on the unit autodetects correctly and it hums away. 0 maintainence, 0 config. plug it in and go.
