Great overall but wifi reception is terrible
I'm not sure if we just got a lemon, but our cell phones, tablets, and other laptops all get full signal all over the house and we have to camp out right by the router with this thing. The plan is to get with Dell customer service and see if there's something wrong with the hardware but it was brand new and only a manual connection somewhere within 5 feet made it agree with our network. This isn't the first time we've set up a wifi network either.
Great Laptop
This laptop is AWESOME! Setup was a breeze & I have had no issues at all. Was worried about the no return policy but glad I bought this PC. Highly recommend. It is very fast with the I7 processor & the dedicated video card. Love this machine.
Windows 10 (not so good)
The Dell Laptop itself is a great machine, however, the operating system Windows 10 is extreamly hard to get into operation. You get all kinds of errors about syncing when you try to setup email and now the laptop will not boot up at all!! I will have to take it to the local shop snd probably spent another $50 to get it set up.
WATCH OUT FOR Windows 10 !!!!
Jury still out - pending serato dj outcome
other than needing to get serato dj working. i love the laptop.
The computer did die once the first day but it seems its an issue with a graphics setting and the fact there was an update running. simply googled to web to resolve the issue.
machine is fast - lots of apps in the app store. much more than when i went in there wit a windows tablet a deay earlier.
Great Laptop
This is the easesest computer I have ever setup. The 5558 is fast and easy to use. The screen looks good. The touch pad works very good, I had a HP Laptop before and the touchpad did not work very good.
Over all I am happy with this computer.
