Great Drive
This is a wonderful drive. Of course, I have favored WD for many years now due to drive failures with other companies.
When you purchase this you must format it, other than that, WONDERFUL.
Exactly What I Expected
It's heavy so be careful when screwing into the chassis. Because it's 5 Terabytes, you will not be able to use all of it if you use MBR as your partitioning scheme so consider using GPT if you want to be able to access more than 4TB.
If you use Windows you may want to install Windows on a smaller MBR hard disk and install applications to the GPT hard drive as well as use it for data storage so if you set up an NTFS partition on this hard disk, you can have Windows use it as drive F: then install all your applications to Drive F: instead of Drive C:.
To save space on the C: drive, you might be able to move the Documents folder to Drive F: then replace that folder on the C: drive with a symbolic link (not the same as a Windows shortcut) to its new location.
