Excellent Hard Drive
I got it and tried to copy around 300 GB in 1 hour. It is really faster than the previous hard drive which I have used.
Nice Bundle after rebate
I got this bundle for $15.... so I can't complain. That is after rebate, and NO you don't get charged for the software until year two. You DO have to activate it to get the rebate, but the first year is included. If you don't like it, just cancel within the first year.... I knew this when I bought it. Read the rebate terms.
The hard drive is pretty nice. Compact. I assume the USB 3.0 is fast but, I dunno. Not much to compare with. It is portable and USB powered, no external plug. But that should have been clear already. And if you squeeze it in the center the edges of the case sort of pop out. But... you shouldn't be squeezing your hard drives like that anyway.
I haven't really used the software. But install and activation was easy. You can login to your account online as well to change your account.
Works with Linux, too!
