Real improvement
My new I5 laptop came with a 5400rpm hard drive which I replaced with this SSD drive... wonderful performance increase to an already fast machine.
Now it is smoking fast.
The drive was easy to install and I put the old drive into the usb case so now I also have a nice usb drive...
I did not use the software as I reloaded the laptop to upgrade it to windows 7 professional and to remove the bloat from the new laptop.
I also ordered two additional kits to upgrade the two older laptops I have, made a big differance in performance on both of those.
Flipping Fast
This SSD has really sped up my system. Easy to install and awesome to use. If you really want to see haw fast it is download files from a jump drive to SSD and it zooms.

DOES IT WORK ON MACBOOK PRO!
Great product
Replaced the factory sata drive in an Opti755 with this product. Dell said the motherboard wasn't certified to support sata-3 but the speed improvement was tremendous. Bought it with the $50 Kingston rebate, great deal.
not as expected
ultra easy to transfer system files from my laptop BUT the performance improvement is marginal at best. I do a LOT of video and audio editing, converting tapes to dvd's, cd's and mp3's. At first I was running out of disk space though Win7 is supposed to automatically handle the solid state drive. I went into the registry and manually changed a LOT of settings and there seems to be an improvement. At least it isn't saying that I'm out of disk space when I show over 60GB free space.
