For those saying they're slow
Remember that these are Advanced Format drives, which use the 4KB sectors. Unless you correct the sector alignment, you will get very slow performance. Depending on your OS, you need to either use WD Align for Windows, or just adjust your fdisk parameters on Linux.

i dont own this product either
Ok, its a green 3tb drive, Duh its used for storage, not running programs. so speed shouldnt matter! since i have used WD drives for since the begining and not one time have lost any data from a failure.... what else is there to say, WD is top dog, an who cares how fast i can transfer, i can store 1000 movies and 5000 songs without worrying bout losing it

SLOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW
I've put several of these green drives in very fast computers, the results were equal to a very tired P4. DO NOT expect performance from these drives.

going green is good
other than this 3TB drive i have other green drives & have no problems with them & so far no problems with the 3TB drive will buy again dont believe mr green junk going green is goood
