good product
Have been looking for a storage solution similar to raid nas for a while. So far it seems to work great. Installed 4 one terabite wd red series drives, no problems. Smooth setup, all my computers see the unit without any trouble. Mike

High-Quality NAS
My experience with the DroboFS has been great - performance is really good for a networked drive, and the build quality is great (the magnetic cover is a nice touch, as is the ability to dim the lights on it). Getting things up and running was pretty smooth, although I had to update the firmware before the dashboard software would recognize it. After that it was a simple process of adding my drives and setting up my shares. The device is more expensive than what I would have liked, but after I started using it I'm happy I made the purchase.

Great NAS Platform
Overall, a great product. The user interface (they call it a 'dashboard') is easy to use. The ability to expand the capacity of the system 'on the fly' is a great value. The system provides status of all the drives, as well as a 'fuel guage' to show how much data is on the drive. My only complaint is the system takes longer than I expected to show up when first booted. But given all the plusses, is a minor inconvenience.

CHANGED MY LIFE
This may not not do everything that the synology does, but it does one thing better than most nas drives out there... it stores my data safely!!! I am very pleased with this product, I love using it!
