Too Slow and Hot
The little laptop is light and small, but performance is slow and the bottom gets very hot. The dual core version cost $100 more pushing it to $550 which is close to a regular laptop with more features (like a DVD drive). This laptop is too slow and too hot.

I hate the IBM sold to Levnova
Think Pads use to be just quality, they are no more. While it is thin, while it does start with nice features, barring the ridiculous 2GB of memory, it just does not compare for Price vs Performance from other Laptops out there. Wait until you have a warranty issue. I do not own this model, but all Lenovo's are the same, they just do not hold up from the Original Owner Specs of IBM. Stay away if you are new to Laptops, those that are versed in them, make the mistake because they THINK is will match up to what a Thinkpad used to be. I rarely will give a disappointing review, understanding we are all different in expectations, but this is truly a sad days for such a great design from the past

Fair for the price
I am a TP lover and out of the box, it seemed like a great laptop. Quality of manufacturing & design was excellent, keyboard was the typical excellent click-touch that TPs are known for. Impressed with both a touchpad and trackpoint. The battery life was quite good as well. However, the performance really was poor. I really wanted to like this computer. But for the cost, the Mini and several others in its class were $100-200 cheaper with sometimes similar performance. The pre-installed programs did slow it down a bit too. And, a warning echoed above, do not ever install Nortn products, once installed they are VERY difficult to remove and slow systems down dramatically. I tried upgrading the drive to a 7200 RPM drive and this helped somewhat, but bottom line, the AMD processor was a bad choice. I was overall unhappy with this product. Purchased a TP X201 at twice the cost and 8 times the performance. I hope Lenovo hears this on the next revision.

Great Product
It won't perform like my 8 GB desktop, and I did not expect it too. But boy is it handy. I use this ThinkPad almost all of the time instead of the three other laptops in my home. I especially like the trackpoint mouse. The keyboard is the best small keyboard that I have used. After I got this, I gave away my two netbooks. Instead of trying to find a better netbook, this Lenovo ThinkPad is the way to go.

beware of bloatware
great little computer until you install the bloatware that comes with it. Then it takes minutes to load web pages. Use a small program like eset for virus work and dump norton as well as all the monitoring software. Also could use blue tooth
