Once you connect it to your home network and your external hard drive, just visit our website to complete the installation. No need to configure ports, routers, IP addresses, firewalls, or any other complicated setup.
Plug your Pogoplug into a wall socket or power strip
Connect your Pogoplug to your router with the supplied network cable
Connect any external hard drive or memory stick to the USB port in your Pogoplug
From your computer, go to my.pogoplug.com and type in your unique Pogoplug registration code

Great low power device for sharing up to 4 USB drives. Super easy to set up and share and is highly secure. Does not risk personal data like PC based software solutions. We have 2 of these. One sits in a broom closet and quietly serves files to over 100 company users and the other backs up everything off-site. Administration is simple.

The Pogoplug works as promised. I had a few problems connecting thru my router. I like the fact the fact that you can hook up to 4 USB devices to it. I have a problem when transferring large files. The upload of 1.3G files is not a problem. The download takes 8 to 10 hours on a DSL line. If anyone knows how to speed this up I would really like to know.

Worked for me exactly as advertised. Accessing files from anywhere is completly seemless. Blackberry and iPod apps just make it even better.

My friend got this and asked me to set it up. It works, but it is useless. I thought it was an external hard drive at first, but paying 100$ to share files is pointless. Do it with the hardware you already have, all it takes is a computer and an internet connection. Spend that 100$ on an external hard drive.
On a technical point of view, it does what it says it does, despite not being impressive in the least bit.

This product seems like a great idea. I had high hopes for this device. It really doesn't seem market ready yet. Go to their site and checkout the boards and I think you'll find that there are too many bugs and too many headaches. Make sure you've backed up any data on your drives, it's not safe.
