I fell for the seemingly good price of $144 for 2Tb. This external HDD was very moderately if not rarely used by me for the backups only. It stopped working in 1 year and 1 week. Considering importance of having a reliable backup, I will never again go for an external HDD by an unknown manufacturer. I need to say that I also have another external HDD by one well known brand, more expensive though, and it has been working fine for 3 years now. I have learned my lesson for $144. |

This drive has eSATA and USB 2.0, a power light, and an on off switch. These are essential components that many external hard drives lack. This drive performs well and seems faster than my W D eSATA 1.5 TB. Transfer rate for large files (movies) is consistently about 90 MB per sec (comming off my internal RAID drive). So far I'm very happy.
