I ordered two of these at different times. The first one had a few hits on check disk but now it is working ok. The second one worked great not a problem of any type yet. The second one would have been given all 5 stars by me the first would be like above.

The drive was well packaged, included cables and came right up after installation. Speed is good and I noticed no unusual sound. It is drive number 5 in my system, a combination of both PATA and SATA 2 drives.

All total at work I have eight of these drives - Found them about 6 months ago for a killer price at $129 ea. All eight are working well without the annoying noise others have mentioned. 4 of these have been in servers mirrored for data, 1 to replace a wd enterprise solution that died within 1 month of service. Others have been in workstations. Overall I am pleased with these units.
