This drive failed after a day of use. The failure appears to be mechanical; the drive tray is not ejecting. It's hardly worth packaging it up and returning it. This is the price we pay for cheap stuff, I think. |
Could have used a SATA cable...

I had to get one from a coworker, but had it up and running quickly after that! Rips and burns DVDs quicker than any burner I've had yet. That bluebird junk is irritating though. |

So I made the mistake of buying this without noting that it was sata and not IDE, but that was my fault. Ended up putting it in another machine and it works great. I'm not doing much with it though. Ripping DVD's and once in awhile buring one. It is quiet, works, and was cheap. A sata cable would have been nice, but very few items ever include that. |
