I bought it for my wife. The laptop works just as expected. Only downside that I can think of it is - the windows 7 upgrade that I got seems quite complicated. Too many steps to perform. I just left it as it is. It is still running on vista. They should have simplified the upgrade process.

I got this product August 2009 and I have loved this notebook everyday I have had it. It's super quiet, and fast. It runs my games great, like sims 3. The only con is the speakers. They don't get very loud but there's a headphone jack up front so I just hook in other computer speakers. Great for school! I use this for college and it's great. I did get the 2 year warranty just in case, I just hope I never have to use it.
Good overall, but it has it's drawbacks

Overall, I really like this laptop. Most of the problems I have with it are Vista-related, but those are relatively easy to remedy. But a couple things I don't like:
--The bottom gets quite hot in the one place that doesn't have a fan. It's not the kind of hot that means that something's about to explode, but just a bit uncomfortable.
--The function key and the control key should be swapped. Fn should be on the far left, not Ctrl.
--Battery life, even on the power-saver mode, is only about 2 hours or so, and the specs say 5.5 hours.
Now for the good--the screen is sharp and the graphics are great, and the sound quality is good. It runs extremely quiet, even when it's playing a cd or dvd in the drive. The keyboard is a nice change from the normal laptop keyboards, and it's much like a mac's keyboard. It's built solidly and the silver finish pulls everything together into a very nice-looking product.

We had the first one for about a month, and the audio stopped working. Called Sony, and they would send technicain to fix it on site. Next morning called this reseller, I didn't expect it to accept the return because it was 3 days over a month. Eddie said no problem, and took care of it. Even I threw away the Sony box, and he still took care of it. I would strongly recommend buying anything from this site. The service is exceptional.
The new one came in about a week, had some slight problem about internet connection. Called Sony and it was some software gitch. They guided me through it, and worked as charm since then.
Technicians at Sony are very knowledgable and responsive. We've owned more than 10 computers. This Sony finish is the most attractive. I would give quality as fair because of the 2 problems that I experienced.

this a good deal but the laptops provided are really worst. the laptop is slow. the webcam goes down too often. i got two of them one of which was so bad that i returned it back. as it crashed within 3 days twice first it gave a Blue screen error and then in two days it started showing Operating system not found win two days. that is a piece of thrash..............

What Is A Cell? It's a
battery
Though technically a battery has multiple cells, we are accustomed to calling a
single energy cell a battery as well.
In
electronics, a battery or voltaic cell is a combination of many electrochemical
Galvanic cells of identical type to store chemical energy and to deliver it in
the form of electricity. The battery cells combine to produce more energy
(voltage or amps) than a cell by itself. When joined in this way, it is a
battery of cells. Almost all portable electronics use one or more cells -
rechargeable or disposable. The more cells, the more energy available -
meaning more hours of use usually.
In Notebook computers, the battery case usually
holds three or more cells. 3 Cell batteries tend to provide about 1-3
hours of use, depending on the energy needs of the Laptop. 6 cell (or
more) batteries provide much more energy, and many more hours of use. This
can be good or bad! More cells mean longer use, but more weight too!
So remember to always check for the number of
cells if specified, and choose the right configuration for your use.
