Xerox DocuMate 150 Sheetfed Scanner
The Xerox DocuMate 150 Sheetfed Scanner, scans up to 18 pages per minute (ppm), includes a 50-page automatic document feeder and has the ability to automatically scan documents into searchable PDF files. The Xerox DocuMate 150 Sheetfed Scanner is designed specifically for desktop use and incorporates Visioneer OneTouch technology for eliminating multiple steps in sending scanned documents to predetermined applications or devices.
The Xerox DocuMate 150 Sheetfed Scanner offers a professional software package that includes Nuance PaperPort and OmniPage Pro. It also comes with an advanced TWAIN driver to enable communication with advanced electronic content management (ECM) software applications

Perfect scans from imperfect originals
Visioneer OneTouch with Kofax® VRS™ (VirtualReScan®) technology is integrated into the scanner driver so that you get perfect scans from imperfect originals. VRS also eliminates the need to rescan documents through automatic cropping, straightening, brightness control and edge clean-up. All this is integrated into Visioneer OneTouch so your entire scanning requirements are achieved at the touch of a button.

I wanted a scanner that scans fast and I got it. The software PAPERPORT also allows me to put multiple pages into a .pdf document. I have not figured out why it makes a 4 page doument into a 3mb file though. It is probably a setting I need to change somewhere. Otherwise this Xerox Documate 150 is everything I wanted. |

Poor performance. Cheap product. Tech Support very poor. I returned it immediately and purchased the Scan Snap S1500, which is a FAR superior product. Well worth the additional cost. |

A great document scanner to replace paper filing, not for scanning photographs. Software installation is not ideal: installs different software components in sequential parts but requests a computer reboot after each part; if you reboot after the first part then the rest of the software is not installed. Do not reboot until you are sure nothing else is going to install. The virtual rescan and OCR is not needed for most office documents, so go into the One Touch settings and disable those options to increase speed. Very fast and reliable scanning, we have used two of these units for about a year without any document feeding problems. A great, compact product, highly recommended. |
