The Xerox DocuMate 150 Sheetfed Scanner, scans up to 18 pages per minute (ppm), includes a 50-page automatic document feeder and has the ability to automatically scan documents into searchable PDF files. The Xerox DocuMate 150 Sheetfed Scanner is designed specifically for desktop use and incorporates Visioneer OneTouch technology for eliminating multiple steps in sending scanned documents to predetermined applications or devices.
The Xerox DocuMate 150 Sheetfed Scanner offers a professional software package that includes Nuance PaperPort and OmniPage Pro. It also comes with an advanced TWAIN driver to enable communication with advanced electronic content management (ECM) software applications

Perfect scans from imperfect originals
Visioneer OneTouch with Kofax® VRS™ (VirtualReScan®) technology is integrated into the scanner driver so that you get perfect scans from imperfect originals. VRS also eliminates the need to rescan documents through automatic cropping, straightening, brightness control and edge clean-up. All this is integrated into Visioneer OneTouch so your entire scanning requirements are achieved at the touch of a button.

First, the out-of-the box performance was quite strong. It took me about ten minutes to figure out how to pull off the tape tabs and connect the paper feeders, but that's mainly because the box includes international cords that I didn't expect.
The scanner software is easy to understand. The instructions for using the software is a little vague at times. For instance, I want to learn how to program the function keys and have yet to figure out how to do that. The CD manual is good but it doesn't seem to address that. So I'm a little confused there. But that's a small thing since I don't really NEED to use it. The scanner works great without this optional element.
It seems a little faster than the product info stated, particularly for black and white, but color seems just as fast. I don't see a discernible difference. It's been a week and I love it. Let's see how it holds out. |

This is a great scanner. It is very fast. We had a little trouble with the software, but a quick phone call and download solved the problem. This is a great little scanner for the price. |

I wanted a scanner that scans fast and I got it. The software PAPERPORT also allows me to put multiple pages into a .pdf document. I have not figured out why it makes a 4 page doument into a 3mb file though. It is probably a setting I need to change somewhere. Otherwise this Xerox Documate 150 is everything I wanted. |

Poor performance. Cheap product. Tech Support very poor. I returned it immediately and purchased the Scan Snap S1500, which is a FAR superior product. Well worth the additional cost. |
